I wanted to thank everyone who have taken the time to look at what I’m doing on my blog. I know time is precious and when you stop by my site, look at what I’m doing and then add like, it means a lot to me.
It’s a bit weird creating this blog with my story, as it only comes in small sections at a time. Hopefully people are not getting lost by receiving only two pages at a time.
Some points I want to include:
1- I’m trying hard to stay away from swearing, anytime my characters want to swear I insert a food product. This has a lot to do with who I am, love food, too much sometimes, and equate it with a struggle to balance. I also love swearing, and there are studies which say swearing is a good thing to do, so the food and swearing work well for me.
2- I’ve added a fair amount of subliminal messages in my work. Don’t know if you can figure it out, but one of them is the name of the pharmaceutical company where Marc and Tom work. Called Follis Pharmaceuticals. Follis is latin for fool. I chose this name as a reflection on big business, over stepping their boundaries on finding a balance with society and people and how it often fails. Follis=fools in not only how they manage their company, but how they care so little about people, society, the world. My political rant for the day.
3- I’ve used names or initials of names for a reason. Again, reflections on the characters and who they are in relation to world events, poor decisions and other such stuff. Marc and Tom, quite generic and a reflection on the goodness, of most of the people in the world. Dr. Sunnitta and Dr. Maddlin, S and M, a reflection on some messed up people, who obviously are only into themselves and like to do things which are bizarre and crazy. Not that s and m is bizarre and crazy, just a life choice.
Well, keep reading, and again, many thanks for dropping by my blog.
J
PS, all comments welcome.
Personally I really like getting one or two pages at a time. It’s a treat to set aside five minutes in the day to read your posts! You only have to look at the daily soap opera format or at the serials that Dickens wrote to know how much people love this format. Just my opinion…
